Leading tourism operator Explore Group kicks off summer season schedule with rebrand of Fullers GreatSights to Fullers Bay of Islands.
Explore Group purchased the iconic Bay of Islands brand in July 2021 and since then has operated their signature tours and cruises including the original Cream Trip, Hole in the Rock Dolphin cruise and Cape Reinga and Ninety Mile Beach tour.
The reestablishment of Fullers Bay of Islands, used in previous brand iterations, will better reflect both the company’s identity and product offering.
“The rebrand will champion the spectacular region we operate in – Fullers has been synonymous with the Bay of Islands since the Albert Ernest Fuller started operating in 1887 and we look forward to continuing to deliver iconic tourism experiences for visitors to the region,” says Explore Group managing director William Goodfellow.
William says that they have seen a build in numbers, year on year, since purchasing the business and continue to develop the product suite while respecting the history of the Fullers operation. This is just the next chapter for Fullers in the Bay of Islands.
Operating both the Fullers Bay of Islands and Explore Group brand in the Bay of Islands has provided an opportunity to maintain the regions tourism offering post-COVID and we will continue to build on this to deliver a truly world class visitor experience.
Explore has played a significant part in Bay of Islands’ tourism for 18 years, operating a range of tours including their Discover the Bay Hole in the Rock Cruise, dolphin viewing cruises and ferry services to Otehei Bay on Urupukapuka Island.
“We believe there is huge potential to grow and enhance the Bay of Islands as a visitor destination and we are committed to significant investment in the region with exciting projects coming online soon.
“This rebrand is part of this long-term plan to help bring more visitors to the region and showcase everything the Bay of Islands and Northland has to offer.”
