The Auckland Airport Board has announced the nomination of Grant Devonport as a new board director; who has accepted the nomination.
Grant was the chief financial officer of Australia Pacific Airports Corporation, which owns Melbourne Airport and Launceston Airport, until January this year and is currently a non-executive director of MOVE Logistics Group Limited, and the chair of its risk assurance and audit committee.
As announced earlier this year, Patrick Strange will retire after the upcoming Annual Meeting and Julia Hoare will succeed his position as board chair, having been on the board since 2017.
“Grant is an experienced CFO and transformational leader, with more than 25 years of multinational experience including CFO roles with Myer Proprietary Limited and Toll Group Limited,” says Patrick. “If elected, he will be a strong addition to the Board.”
“I am pleased to accept this nomination from the Board and look forward to working with the Auckland Airport team,” says Grant.
“It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining with a huge transformation program underway and with all of the airport upgrades.”
The shareholders will have the opportunity to vote on Grant’s election at the Annual Meeting on October 17, and the Board will recommend that shareholders vote in favour of the appointment.
