AirlineRatings.com has revealed their top airlines for 2024 in a range of different categories.
Air New Zealand made the cut, claiming fourth in the ‘Best Premium Airlines’ category, being beat by Qatar Airways in first, Korean Air in second, and Cathay Pacific Airways in third.
Air New Zealand ranked one place higher than Emirates, and won out against other airlines such as Etihad and Qantas.
Etihad Airways was awarded ‘Environmental Airline of the Year’, for the third year in a row.
“Etihad Airways has demonstrated its leadership in the push for sustainable flight with its Greenliner Boeing 787 program and in 2022 with its Sustainability50, A350 aircraft,” says Airlineratings.com editor-in-chief Geoffrey Thomas.
Jetstar won ‘Best Low Cost Airline’ for Australia/Pacific.
The AirlineRatings.com rating system takes into account a number of different factors related to audits from aviation’s governing bodies, lead associations as well as the airline’s own safety data.
