Heinemann Asia Pacific will enter the New Zealand market with three new retail concepts in Auckland Airport, featuring luxury timepieces and jewelry, and luxury and premium fashion, set to open from the second quarter of 2024.
The exclusive new multi-brand concepts at Auckland Airport will feature an assortment of international fashion and accessories brands, and luxury timepieces and jewelry.
The new boutiques offer high-profile luxury and premium brands, with an emphasis on exclusivity, exquisite craftsmanship and rich heritage. Heinemann’s fashion concept will include brands such as Givenchy, making its Oceania duty-free debut, Kenzo, and Stella McCartney.
“We are extremely proud to be entering New Zealand for the first time, and to be kicking off our partnership with Auckland Airport. We are excited to showcase the best of what Heinemann has to offer in the wider Oceania region, leveraging our operational experience and expertise accumulated over more than a decade in Australia,” says Heinemann Asia Pacific chief executive officer Marvin von Plato.
“We are thrilled to be Heinemann’s first airport partner in New Zealand, and to bring exclusive new luxury and premium concepts to Auckland Airport,” says Auckland Airport chief commercial officer Mark Thomson.
“Heinemann’s new fashion, accessories, watches and jewelry offers further extend the current experience and these new additions help deliver a compelling shopping proposition that we hope will delight our travellers.”
New Zealanders are already a significant customer demographic for Heinemann in the Asia Pacific, as the second-largest foreign nationality group for its Australia-based operations.
This is Heinemann’s latest new addition to its Fashion and Accessories and Watches and Jewellery portfolio in the Asia Pacific, following the scaling up of its offer in its Sydney Airport duty-free store, its expansion into Sydney Airport and Gold Coast Airport’s domestic terminals with a focus on Australian fashion brands, and the opening of its Chloé monobrand boutique in Changi Airport in 2023.
