Tourism industry benefits from insightful Tourism Tech Talk series

Tomahawk is thrilled with the response to their inaugural Tourism Tech Talk series.

The series attracted more than 500 tourism professionals from all over New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands. The post-webinar feedback has confirmed the format, subject matter, shared tips and insights are what tourism professionals want allowing them to action tactics in their businesses.

The webinar series was aimed at empowering tourism businesses with invaluable insights into five key areas of digital marketing.

The series was led by Tomahawk’s subject experts and hosted by Tomhawk marketing director Gina Paladini. It delved into crucial facets of digital marketing, providing practical knowledge and  actionable DIY strategies for tourism operators, covering: Something New, Something Reliable, Something Underrated, Something DIY and Something Trending.

The series featured the following vital topics:

• Social Media Marketing: Jaimee Beck explored effective social media strategies tailored for the tourism industry, with real-world examples and hands-on approaches.

• Google Strategies: Tip Varnakomala unveiled key trends and best practices in leveraging Google tools to enhance online visibility, attract visitors, and drive bookings.

• Branding, Design & Storytelling: Pallavi Karambelkar illuminated the significance of branding and storytelling in the tourism sector and offered practical tips to captivate and engage the target audience.

• Technology for Tourism: Lez Gunnion navigated the technological landscape introducing AI tools and other advancements that can support and enhance the marketing of tourism businesses.

• Translating Google Analytics 4: Renee Goodsell showcased key features of Google Analytics 4 to highlight how it assists in understanding user behaviour and optimising marketing efforts to boost revenues.
