Employers from the hospitality, food retail, engineering, civil construction and traffic management industries will be looking to hire new staff at the ‘Mahi in Waitohi’ pop-up event in Picton.
The event at the Picton Library on November 9 is the first of several summer job expos that will be held across the Marlborough region this season.
Ministry of Social Development and APM staff will also be on hand to talk about the support they offer job seekers to help them take up available roles.
“This is the first of the pop-up employment expos we hope to hold in Marlborough in coming months,” says MSD Regional Commissioner for Marlborough, Nelson and the West Coast, Craig Churchill.
“We’re keen to support our local employers and job seekers and to get Marlborough humming this summer!”
Mahi in Waitohi will run at the Picton Library, Waitohi Whare Mātauranga, 2 Dublin Street, Picton, from 1pm to 3.30pm on Thursday, November 9.
