Virgin Voyages’ Resilient Lady commences 44-day journey down under

Virgin Voyages, the multi award-winning brand known for making waves, has announced that its third ship in its growing fleet, Resilient Lady, will today commence her 44-day repositioning journey from her current home port of Athens, Greece to her new home port in Port Melbourne, Australia.

The repositioning voyage, which has also been broken up into smaller one-way voyages, will set off and be making stops in bucket-list destinations like Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore and Bali along the way.

Resilient Lady will be entering Australian waters via Darwin, dropping by Cairns, Airlie Beach and Sydney, before settling into Port Melbourne to experience her first Australian summer.

During her visit Down Under, Resilient Lady’s first season will see her sailing through must-see Aussie locations such as Melbourne, Sydney, Burnie and Hobart, as well as visiting some of New Zealand’s most sought-after destinations including Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Picton, Napier, Tauranga and Dunedin.

Travellers interested in setting sail with Virgin Voyages aboard Resilient Lady once she hits Aussie shores can book now to secure a cabin on one of the many available itineraries via the Virgin Voyages website.

Avid travellers already enrolled in other cruise and select airline travel rewards programs have the opportunity to join Virgin Voyages’ loyalty program, The Sailing Club via the brand’s Match and Sea More program. Travellers will be able to match their current loyalty status and be granted Sea-Rover status and receive Deep Blue Extras on their very first voyage.

The Match and Sea More program is only available for a limited time for bookings made through December 31 2023, with perks available to be redeemed on voyages through 2024.
