Tomahawk is thrilled to continue its gold sponsorship support for another year of the Backpacker Youth Adventure Tourism Association Annual Conference, with it being held this year at Te Pae in Christchurch on August 28-29.
As part of Tomahawks sponsorship, they are hosting an evening event with a Super Hero theme to showcase the heroic spirit of the sector, believing that any tourism business that has made it this far is a true Super Hero!
With a rebound in tourism, the BYATA conference is focusing on building solutions for long-term success in the youth tourism sector. Tomahawk sees its role as sponsor to not only support providers with digital empowerment, but also to recognise those who are contributing significantly to the industry. With this in mind, Tomahawk is seeking “Tourism Super Hero nominations” and will announce a winner at the conference.
Tomahawk general manager Renee Goodsell is excited to continue their support of the conference.
“Being immersed in critical tourism sectors like the youth travel market is a great fit for Tomahawk which thrives on creating digital strategies that are innovative, achievable, and aspirational.
“We’re excited to assist with this as well as recognise those super heroes in the industry who show the talent, passion, and drive to make a difference and bring real solutions to the table.”
Over the past 12 months the industry has welcomed back youth travellers both as workers and visitors. It is timely to now reflect on progress and continue the momentum to ensure Aotearoa is at the forefront of providing lifelong memories to young travellers so they return time and again.
Anyone that works in the backpacker, youth and adventure tourism sector can be nominated as a Tourism Super Hero at the link below. Along with the honour of achieving this award, the winning Super Hero can look forward to enjoying some “Supersized” champagne.
