The World Youth Student and Educational Travel Confederation has opened applications for their annual Global Youth Travel Awards.
The awards formally recognise outstanding performers across several fields of international youth travel and reward stakeholders in the youth, student and educational travel industry that make a noteworthy contribution to the industry.
Now in their 13th year, the Global Youth Travel Awards are open to all organisations that work with youth travellers, regardless of their size or location.
The nominated awards (Best Responsible Tourism Initiative, Outstanding Contribution to the SDGs, Best DEI Initiative, Best Marketing Campaign, Best Travel Tech Provider, Best Work Experience Provider, Best Education Abroad Provider, Extraordinary Experience, WYSTC Partnership Award) allow organisations to put forward a project, programme, product/service, campaign or collaboration that has had measurable impact on the industry over the last year.
The four consumer-voted awards (Best Hostel, Best LGBTQ+ Travel Experience, Best Travel App, Best Youth Tour Operator) offer travel businesses the opportunity to promote themselves, and at the same time, young travellers to voice their opinions on the best of youth travel.
“We are delighted to expand the awards categories once again this year,” says WYSE Travel Confederation director general David Chapman.
“The reintroduction of the popular consumer-voted awards allow customers to have their say and travel organisations to be recognised for their dedication to making youth travel a safer, smoother and more expansive experience.”
Applications for the nominated awards and voting for the consumer-voted awards close on Friday, August 18.
Winners will be announced on the final evening of the World Youth and Student Travel Conference (WYSTC) in Lisbon on September 15, 2023.
