The New Zealand International Convention Centre is pleased to announce the promotion of Alana Bicknell to the position of director of sales and planning.
Alana has been an integral part of the organisation since re-joining the team in 2022 as International sales manager, developing a robust pipeline of opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and spearheaded innovative initiatives that have enhanced NZICC’s market position.
“Alana’s promotion is a testament to her outstanding performance and commitment to excellence,” says NZICC general manager Prue Daly.
“We have no doubt that she will excel in her new role and contribute significantly to the future success of the NZICC.”
As director of sales and planning, Alana will be responsible for building and leading the NZICC sales and event planning team, cultivating partnerships with local and international suppliers and maximising revenue opportunities for the NZICC.
With international interest at an all-time high, Alana is looking to the future.
“With the opening of the NZICC approaching, I’m excited to be developing a strong client focused team who share our passion for what will be a world class venue attracting and delivering world class events and experiences,” she says.
Due to this internal promotion, the NZICC team are now recruiting for an international sales manager.
