New regional manager for Oceania Booking.com

Digital travel platform Booking.com has appointed Todd Lacey as regional manager for Oceania with effect from April.

With more than 10 years experience in the travel industry and eight years with the company, Todd will lead Booking.com’s strategic plan for growth across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Todd has been part of the Booking.com team since 2015, most recently as interim area manager for South Korea for the past nine months. Prior to this he was the area manager for New Zealand, and has also managed teams across Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.

“Throughout my time at Booking.com, I have had the privilege of working closely with many Booking.com partners, managing day-to-day and strategic relationships with global and local businesses across Oceania and Asia,” he says.

“Despite being one of the last markets to open following the pandemic, Oceania has accelerated rapidly and is now at the forefront of Asia-Pacific travel recovery. Many of the latest trends in travel, from alternative accommodations, innovations in sustainability and technology are led by our region.

“We’ve been encouraged by the continued strength of demand from travellers last year and into the new year with major global events being hosted in Oceania, attracting travellers back to our shores and partners’ properties.

“We believe this speaks to our local and global consumers’ strong desire to travel throughout Oceania using Booking.com when booking their travel, from hotels, alternative accommodations, flights, car rentals, taxis and attractions,” says Todd.
