BEIA launches 29thAotearoa New Zealand Event Planners’ Guide

Business Events Industry Aotearoa has released its latest comprehensive guide to New Zealand for event planners.

The new-look 29th edition, in compact A5 size, was launched at MEETINGS 2021 earlier this month.

More than 2500 copies have been distributed to business event organisers across Australia and New Zealand.

BEIA chief executive Lisa Hopkins says it is fitting the new edition features the koru on its front cover – a symbol of new beginnings, growth, strength and peace.

“It also represents how New Zealand is reflected around the world. Not only are we a beautiful country to host an event, but also we are a safe destination to visit. We are a nation which responds to unprecedented times through collaboration and partnership, keeping whƒÅnau (family) and manuhiri (guests) firmly at the heart of all we do,” she says.

“In this edition of the Event Planners’ Guide we have an emphasis on our regions. Either individually or as part of a dual destination programme, New Zealand’s regions are a fascinating mix of the cosmopolitan, through to historical and untouched.

“Our guide to Aotearoa New Zealand is known as the industry ‘bible’. It is a crucial reference tool for every event planner.”

The new guide is also available as a flipbook which can be viewed on the BEIA website.

“We acknowledge a move to a more digital application seems obvious in the current climate, and we are constantly reviewing this. However, we have also listened to important feedback from customers who tell us this format is preferred. It is uniquely tangible in a digital world, making it easier physically to show New Zealand to their own clients and colleagues,” Lisa says.

At 180 pages, the new guide features a four-page section for every region of New Zealand, as well as key event planning resources and tools for event organisers including a supplier index, sorted by types of service.

“Our singular focus is always to make the decision to host an event in New Zealand an easy one, and our new guide supports that objective,” she says.
