One-day event to cover tourism crisis management

Tourism Industry Aotearoa is currently organising a crisis management conference in response to some of the industry's latest struggles.

Struggles such as COVID-19, Whakaari/White Island, air travel safety and over-tourism.

All these can have an impact on our tourism industry at a local, national or international level.

Being prepared for crisis is a necessity in today’s rapidly-changing globally-connected environment.

Issues and crisis management is about the practice of preparing an organisation to manage any issues which may affect its reputation; and the art and science of dealing with such events when they, inevitably, arise.
TIA’s ‘Discussing Tourism – Communications’ event will be held in Auckland on March 30 and guest speakers will address attendees, including Brian Finn from Engage Group who will provide an overview of crisis management in today’s world and how communications professionals can support their organisation to anticipate, plan for and respond to emerging issues or a crisis event.
Discussing Tourism – Communications is being held at Rydges, Auckland and limited tickets are still available.
This one-day event is a unique opportunity for tourism communications professionals to share ideas, build capability and network among your peers. Ready to join the conversation? Register now or visit the website for more information including the full lineup of speakers for the day.
