QT Hotels celebrates a double win

QT Hotels & Resorts has once again landed multiple property wins in the annual Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards, with QT Wellington ranking #7 and QT Sydney ranking #10 for hotels in Australia and New Zealand.

Both QT Wellington and QT Sydney have been recognised consecutively by the highly regarded luxury travel publication, cementing them on the bucket list for travellers around the world.

More than 600,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers across the globe submitted a recording-breaking number of responses, rating their travel experiences to provide a full snapshot of where and how people travel today.

The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are commonly known as “the best of the best of travel.”

Each of QT’s nine properties throughout Australia and New Zealand are truly unique, inspired by their surrounding environment and local community.

QT Wellington and QT Sydney are no exception; both properties live and breathe the QT Hotels & Resorts signature quirk, designer style and hyper-personalised service culture, setting a global standard as experiential, design-led hotels.

QT Wellington proudly boasts the largest private art collection in New Zealand, quite unlike any hotel in the world. The 180 room property is deeply immersed in the local arts scene, recently launching Gallery 4, a whole level of the hotel that features bespoke artworks on the walls of guest rooms.

Meanwhile, QT Sydney exudes the magic and charm of a bygone era. Established within two of Sydney’s most distinguished buildings, The State Theatre and the old Gowings department store, the 200 room hotel retains its old world appeal, whilst integrating design-filled interiors, cutting-edge art and bold entertainment.

QT Hotels & Resorts have also paved the way in challenging the status quo of hotel dining in Australia, home to a portfolio of award-winning restaurants across the group that have firmly established themselves as focal dining destinations in the cities in which they reside.

QT Wellington is home to French inspired fine dining restaurant Hippopotamus and popular Asian-fusion restaurant Hot Sauce, and QT Sydney houses dining institution Gowings and recently launched Italian Trattoria, Parlour Cucina. All of which are loved by guests and locals alike for innovate menus, unique dining experiences and a farm to table food philosophy.

“A QT Hotel is more than just a hotel. It’s a world-class destination where travellers and locals come to check out of ordinary and reconnect with the best versions of themselves," says Norman Arundel, director hotel and resort operations EVENT hospitality and entertainment.

"We are incredibly proud that QT Wellington and QT Sydney have been recognised yet again by one of the world’s most reputable travel publications, highlighting our commitment to providing our visitors and guests with a truly memorable QT experience.”
