Online registration is now live for Hosted Buyers ready to sign up for New Zealand’s business events showcase, MEETINGS 2020 in Auckland next April.
Run by Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ), the annual MEETINGS exhibition is home to more than 190 exhibitors from 20 regions of New Zealand, who come together on one easy-to-navigate show floor.
CINZ chief executive Sue Sullivan says MEETINGS is eagerly anticipated by everyone responsible for planning, researching and organising conferences, events or incentive travel business in New Zealand.
This year 98 per cent of Hosted Buyers said MEETINGS either met or exceeded their expectations.
“We are inviting business event organisers to apply now to attend MEETINGS, from April 21-23, as a fully hosted buyer.
"With support from Air New Zealand and Auckland hotel operators, we organise all return flights and accommodation in Auckland, and create a personalised appointment schedule,” she says.
“Before the event we work closely with our Hosted Buyers and exhibitors to produce a bespoke diary of meetings across the two days, based on each company’s focus and their upcoming business.
“After 24 years we have a reputation for delivering to meet the changing needs of the industry with a dynamic exhibitor showcase, topped with a series of unmissable networking events.
“Our Hosted Buyers all tell us they love the seamless process, and having everything organised in advance for them. All they need to do is apply and we do the rest.”
Australian Hosted Buyers can also take advantage of the chance to familiarise themselves with the regions, on pre or post MEETINGS weekend tours designed specifically to meet their business needs.
Australian buyers can choose from Northland, Rotorua, Wellington and Christchurch in the weekend prior to MEETINGS. Post-MEETINGS Queenstown and Waikato will be hosting special experiences for Australian Hosted Buyers wanting to bring their clients to these regions. On April 21, Auckland Convention Bureau is showcasing a day out exploring the diverse options in host city, Auckland.
For New Zealand Hosted Buyers who are unable to commit to the two full days of appointments, a one-day programme is available. Local buyers are also invited to come to ASB Showgrounds on either 22 or 23 April for a free day programme.
Hosted Buyer applications close on February 21 and the pre-scheduled appointment process begins on March 16, 2020.
